AS elections to end soon
Today is the final day to vote on the new Associated Students constitution and Article 5 online at as.mtsac.edu.
Article 5 was removed and put on the ballot as a separate measure due to concerns clubs raised about it’s potential impact on enrollment in extracurricular organizations.

Meet team NRG, new reliable government for Associated Students
This year’s candidates include Christian Vargas for president, Donald La for president of business, Claudia Gonzalez for president of activities, Steven Gunski for student trustee, Rudolf Lolowang Jr. for inter club council chair, Cybrina Bhagwat for inter club council vice chair, William Johnson II for senator pro-temp, and Cynthia Palomo for senator pro-temp. This group of candidates call themselves, “Team NRG” which stands for New Reliable Government.
“My little sister just started at this school, and I’m leaving in a few semesters and I want to leave something behind, so that she and other students can benefit from more financial aid and more available scholarships.
The Associated Students, also known as the student government, consists of several candidates that represent the student body of Mt. SAC. This student council functions to serve as the voice of students.
A.S. government leading the way
A.S. elections will take place April 27-May 1. Polls will be in front of Building 9C and Building 6 and open from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and 5 p.m.-9 p.m.

Earth Week 2009
Guest speakers ranging from faculty members to a Native American spiritual leader will be speaking throughout the days. Activities include planting trees and hands-on workshops with edible plants. The event begins at 9:45 a.m. and continues until 2 p.m.
