Students can pick up this discount card at the student life center, valid for "Mt. SAC Day at the Fair," on sept. 30.
Every fall arrives the Los Angeles County Fair. This year, from Sept. 4 to Oct. 4, the L.A. County Fair brings to its surrounding communities “Pure. Fun.”
While students face the economic hardships of growing tuition fees, book prices, and parking fees, there is a promotion offered to the Mt. SAC campus. The fair presents Thursday Sept. 30 as “Mt. SAC Day at the Fair,” offering free admission to Mt. SAC students, faculty and staff.
To receive free admission students must present their valid Mt. SAC student I.D., and a discount card or coupon provided by the school. Students can pick this coupon at the student life office.
Many of the attractions provided by the fair include a carnival with 70 rides, 40 family games, a variety of farm animals, and the Flower & Garden Pavilion designed in celebration of Mexico’s bicentennial.
Other attractions include the Plaza de las Americas, “Jurassic Planet,” a motorized dinosaur exhibit, over 600 vendors, and a center for the arts.
Other value offerings include Adult weekday admissions at $12.00 ($17.00 regular adult admission). The fair runs for 23 days, closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. For more information visit lacountyfair.com.
