On Nov. 4 at approximately 8:30 p.m. the fire alarm in building 26 went off.

Professor of English John Branningham said, “I think that alarms are serving a real purpose.”

Branningham said that he has been here for 10 years and they have not gone off.

Another professor, Sandra Esslinger, art history professor, said “It doesn’t sound like a good thing, it’s disruptive.”

The fire alarm was a false alarm for the second time in the past two days.

“Unless they’re testing or if it’s a system malfunction, it’s disrupting,” said Marvin Ruiz, 31, aviation major.

Another student who was in the building at the time of the fire alarm was Carrole Fougen, 51, creative writing major.

“The alarms are too loud, they hurt our ears,” said Fougen.
