Newspapers are dying. Nearly every day another paper goes under, but the silver lining to this evolution is the rise of online news sources. Mt. SAC students are fortunate to have an expanding online news program as well as thriving print formats, The Mountaineer newspaper and Substance magazine. For the past several years, themountaineeronline.com has served as the online component of The Mountaineer but has now evolved into Mountiewire.com. Our online editors are excited to have launched this new site and are sure that it will be a valued source of information for the Mt. SAC student body. With Mountiewire, we cannot wait to see what the future holds for the news industry and online journalism.
