A fire alarm was activated today in Bldg.26 at approximately 9:35 a.m.

Students swarmed in front of the building confused and wondering what set off the alarm.

Jeff Parker, director of public safety, said he did not believe that there was a fire.

“We have a pull station that has been activated and we’re investigating it right now,” Parker said.

Later, Parker said it might have been pulled by someone simply cheap thrills.

Students resumed their classes at about 9:45 a.m. once public safety officers cleared the building and said it was safe to return.
